Bio

A good country song takes a page out of somebody's life and puts it to music."
-Conway Twitty

Robert Ross

Robert Ross writes country songs from real life. His voice carries grit from the cold rivers of New Brunswick, the dust roads of Australia, and the long highways outside Nashville. He’s not trying to be the loudest or the flashiest. He’s telling stories for people who need to feel something honest. Veterans, working folks, mothers, and the ones who never stopped believing in second chances. Country music’s heart is built on truth, and that’s what Robert lives in. Over 11 years in the Canadian Army gave him miles of perspective. A childhood in a small Canadian town gave him the values. His time in Australia gave him roots in another part of the world—and now, Nashville is where all of this comes together. He doesn’t wear a sound. He owns it. Robert’s songwriting sits in the same family as Cash and Travis, but he brings his own lived-in eyes to every lyric. His music holds joy, hurt, hope, and a little bit of old-school fun. Whether it’s a tearful call home or a rowdy Christmas dance anthem—you believe him because he’s lived enough to know what's real. My Musical Journey

Small town New Brunswick, Canada was a breeding ground for folk music and country songs written from the heart and from life. From an early age I found my love of music in hearing my Mother (Betty) singing around the house. The songs of the country greats were sung daily, and you were sure to hear the heart of country music at any local weekend dances or socials. These songs became the basis of my music today. My music comes from life. The good, the bad and the hilarious! Where we all have something in common. I am privileged to be able to share with you my original songs and I am committed to keeping traditional country music alive. Thank you for taking this journey with me. Enjoy!
